Get Rid Of Male Pattern Baldness

Male pattern baldness is the most common type of hair loss, which develops in most men at some point. The condition is also named as androgenetic alopecia. It usually takes 15-25 years to go bald. Some men go bald but in less than five years.

One reason of male pattern baldness is genetic, or with a family history of hair loss. Research has reported that hair loss is associated with male sex hormones called androgens. Androgens have many functions, involving regulation of hair growth.

Balding.jpg
Every hair on his head has a growth cycle. With male pattern baldness, this growth cycle starts to weaken and the hair follicle wanes, generating shorter and finer hair strands. Ultimately, the growth cycle of each hair ends and no new hair will grow in its place.

If your hair loss starts at the temples or the crown of the head, you may have male pattern baldness. Some men will get a single bald spot. Others live their hairlines receding to form an “M” shape. In some men, the hairline will progress to recede until all or most of the hair is gone.

The Basics of Balding: Androgenic Alopecia

Balding and hair loss aren’t just problem for men — women, too, experience the condition known as alopecia, the general term for hair loss. Androgenic alopecia, also known as androgenetic alopecia, is the most common type of alopecia and it is most widespread among men.

What Is Androgenic Alopecia?

Androgenic alopecia is called male pattern hair loss or male pattern baldness; it is frequently referred to as female diffuse hair loss when it happens in women.

The most prevalent symptoms of androgenic alopecia are:

  • For men, hair loss at both the hairline and on the crown of the head, often ending up with a discernable “M” shape on the forehead caused by a receding hairline
  • For women, a gradual process of hair loss, ending up with thinner hair overall, but without the receding hairline experienced by men

Causes of Androgenic Alopecia

Androgenic alopecia is hereditary, genetic condition considered to be caused by changes in the levels of hormones, notably androgens, that impact hair growth. Some factors that can cause abnormal androgen levels and balding in women are:

  • Pregnancy
  • Menopause
  • Having ovarian cysts or polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
  • Taking oral contraceptives that contain high levels of androgens

In men, some factors that are connected with or may cause androgenic alopecia include:

When losing hair becomes a problem?

Everyone loses hair. It happens during your morning shower, while you’re blowing it dry, or when you give it a quick brush—and that’s normal. Did you know, on average, we lose fifty to a hundred hairs a day. That’s just hair going through its cycles, and there will be a new one to replace it.

But hair shedding may be a sign of a more serious medical condition that needs an evaluation by a dermatologist and possible medication.

IRON

Iron deficiency anemia

Women who have heavy periods or don’t eat enough iron-rich foods may be prone to iron deficiency, in which the blood doesn’t have enough red blood cells. Red blood cells transport oxygen to cells throughout your body, giving you the energy you need.

The symptoms: Iron deficiency anemia causes extreme fatigue, weakness, and pale skin. You may also attention headaches, difficulty concentrating, cold hands and feet, and hair shedding. Any type of attempt may leave you short of breath.

The tests: A blood test to measure ferritin, the protein that stores iron in your body, is usually needed to diagnose iron-deficiency anemia. Your doctor may also check your blood level of hematocrit, which patterns how much of your blood is made up of red blood cells.

What you can do: Eat iron-rich foods such as beef, pork, fish, leafy greens, fortified cereals, and beans—preferably, along with foods rich in vitamin C, which enhances iron absorption. Women need 18 mg of iron a day, 8 mg after menopause; ask your doctor if you should take an iron supplement

Hereditary hair loss

Hair loss that is genetic is known as androgenetic alopecia and, according to the American Academy of Dermatology, is the most common cause of hair fall. The gene can be inherited from either your mother’s or father’s side of the family, though you’re more likely to have it if both of your parents had hair shedding.

The symptoms: Women with this trait tend to evove thinning at the hairline behind the bangs. The condition develops slowly and may begin as early as your 20s. You may be sensitive if your mother also has this pattern of thinning. In some cases, the hair loss may be diffuse, meaning it’s spread across the integrated scalp.

The tests: Your dermatologist will investigate the pattern of hair fall to regulate if it’s hereditary and may order blood work to rule out other causes. A biopsy of your scalp is sometimes done to see if the hair follicles have been recovered with miniaturized follicles, a surefire sign of hereditary hair loss.

What you can do: Slow the hair loss by applying Arganrain Hair Care Product to the scalp ever other day, with pure argan oil. The shampoo works on both women and men.It is suitable for every hair type. Women should not use minoxidil or others if they are pregnant or nursing.

Causes of Hair Loss in Women

remote_image_ca70d63aa2

Common baldness in women, also called female pattern alopecia, is genetically inherited and can come from either the mother’s or father’s side of the family. Female alopecia most commonly presents in a diffuse pattern, where hair loss occurs over the entire scalp. Less commonly, women show a patterned distribution where most of the thinning occurs on the front and top of the scalp with relative sparing of the back and sides.

The type of hair fall, diffuse or patterned, has important implications for treatment. Women with diffuse hair loss are generally best treated medically, whereas women with patterned hair loss may be good possibilities for hair transplant surgery.

shot-09c_10739-n

Interestingly, patterned hair loss is the most common type seen in men and accounts for why a greater proportion of men are candidates for surgery compared to women. In female who are genetically predisposed to hair loss, both diffuse and patterned distributions are caused by the actions of two enzymes: aromatase (which is found predominantly in women) and 5-a reductase (which is found in both women and men). Diffuse hair loss is most often hereditary, but it can also be caused by underlying medical conditions, medications, and other factors; therefore, a thorough medical evaluation is an important part of the management.

What is a Hair Transplant?

Used in the U.S. since the 1950s, hair transplantation is surgery that associates removing a narrow strip of hair-bearing scalp from the back of the head and using it to fill an area with thin or no hair. Most hair transplants are achieved in the doctor’s office under local anesthesia.

hairtransplant2

To transplant hair, the surgeon first cleans the scalp, then injects an anesthetic to numb the area where a 3- to 4-inch strip of scalp will be removed. After removing the strip of scalp with a scalpel, the surgeon sets it aside and sews the scalp closed. This area is immediately hidden by the hair around it.

Next, the surgeon divides the strip of removed scalp into approximately 500 to 2,000 tiny grafts containing an individual hair or just a few hairs each. The number and type of graft used depends on the hair type, quality, and color as well as the size of the field where it will be transplanted.

nn3
After the grafts are arranged, the surgeon cleans and numbs the field where the hair will be placed, creates holes or slits with a scalpel or needle, and delicately places each graft in one of the holes.

Depending on the expansion of the procedure, the transplant will take approximately four to eight hours. Sometimes additional sessions are needed if you continue to lose hair or decide you want thicker hair.

Tips for Fast Hair Growth

Yes! You can take your hair to amazing new lengths. Maximize your hair growth potential with these tips :

ResimVitamins for hair growth

Proper nutrition is essential for fast hair growth. To promote hair growth, eat a well balanced diet including veggies, nuts, seeds, whole grains and protein-rich foods. Specific vitamins for promoting hair growth include Biotin, Inositol, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, and Zinc.Resim

Minerals for hair growth

Because high concentrations of sulfur exist in the hair, some forms of hair loss has been linked to sulfur deficiencies. Many seeking to regrow hair have had success using sulfur by itself or using sulfur-containing hair growth products. Other minerals that aid in fast hair growth include calcium, chromium, copper, iron, iodine, magnesium, potassium, selenium and zinc. All of which can be absorbed in proper amounts by eating a well balanced diet high in whole grains and green foods.

Indian Head Massage

The Indian head massage known as Champissage works to promote hair growth by stimulating the body’s three higher chakras and promote circulation. These chakras are located on the crown of the head, the forehead and throat. By stimulating these chakras, the Indian head massage helps promote the flow of energy throughout the head and body. To do the massage, use an oil discussed on this page or a few drops of Sandalwood oil in a Sesame oil base, and use your fingers to massage the scalp in a circular motion.

Argan Oil for Hair Growth

Argan oil is used to stimulate circulation on the scalp, which is thought to promote hair growth. To use argan oil for hair growth, add a few drops of rosemary oil to a tablespoon or two of olive oil and massage it into the scalp.

Castor Oil for Hair Growth

The ancient Egyptians used castor oil to promote hair growth by mixing it with sweet almond oil (for the smell) and spreading it through their hair. This combination will also improve the overall appearance and texture of the hair.

Hair Growth Products

If you are seeking a prescription-strength hair growth product, consider Argan Rain. WHAT CAUSES HAIR LOSS

ImageIt is normal to lose between 50-100 hairs a day, this is part of the hair renewal process. However most people suffer from excessive hair loss at one time in their life. There are many reasons for this including medication, radiation, chemotherapy, exposure to chemicals, hormonal and nutritional factors, thyroid disease, generalized or local skin disease, and stress.

Many of these causes are temporary and a few are permanent. These are some of the more common reason for hair loss.

4 Types of Hair Loss

1. Sudden Hair Loss

Image

2. Steady Hair Loss

Hair follicles demand a steady infusion of nutrients to sustain rapid growth. If you’re shedding more than usual for 2 or 3 months straight, look at your diet: Too little iron, biotin, or zinc can send hair into starvation mode. To restore those nutrients, eat more broccoli, spinach, and eggs. Also, pop a daily multivitamin, such as Centrum.

Image

3. A Round, Smooth Patch

A silver-dollar-size bare spot signals alopecia areata. The catalyst is still unknown, but stress and genetics are likely culprits, says Kevin McElwee, Ph.D., an assistant professor of dermatology at the University of British Columbia. See a dermatologist for corticosteroid injections to ease the inflammation causing your hair to hibernate.

Image

4. A Round, Scaly Patch

You probably have tinea capitis, a fungal infection. (Think athlete’s foot of the head.) Your body battles back with a wave of white blood cells that harm hair follicles. Try an over-the-counter antifungal shampoo, such as Nizoral. If that doesn’t work, ask for a prescription antifungal medication, such as Lamisil.

Image

HOW CAN I STOP HAIR FALLING AND SCALP PROBLEMS COZ BY FUNGAL INFECTION

ANSWER :

what is scalp fungal infection?

The fungus Microsporum gypseum can also sometimes cause tinea capitis. Thisarganrain fungus is common in soil and may be transferred to humans by contact with infected animals. You can also get ringworm from pets that carry the fungus, and cats in particular are common carriers. Ringworm is contagious. It can be passed from one person to the next by direct skin-to-skin contact. You can also catch ringworm through contact with contaminated items such as combs, unwashed clothing, and shower or pool surfaces.

Treatment for ringworm varies depending on the particular fungus involved. Some types of ringworm infection will go away spontaneously and no treatment is given. However, most commonly, griseofulvin, an anti-fungal, is used. Griseofulvin is very effective against fungi in hair and skin but it is not so good at treating yeast or bacterial infections. The drug gradually accumulates in the skin and hair. It especially likes to bind with keratin, which is a key component of hair, skin, and nails, and blocks the fungus from infecting the keratin.

More recently, some fungi that cause tinea capitis show some resistance to the drug,
which means higher doses and longer courses of treatment. As an alternative to griseofulvin, newer anti-fungal drugs like terbinafine, itraconazole, and fluconazole can be prescribed.

Start oiling your hair with olive oil or argan oil, it’s good for scalp problems and nourishes your hair and stop hair falling problems too. I would suggest you ARGANRain professional hair care product from www.arganrain.net
You shouldn’t be sitting and asking around about your fungal infection. Get it treated immediately. Call an expert. You’ll be ok.
